… applauds him over National Youth Day approval.
The Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC) has commended the President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR for his undiluted love for youths in Nigeria, pointing out that recently, the President through the recommendation of the Honourable Minister of Youths and Sports, Hon. Sunday Dare, approved the establishment of the Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF), to the tune of 75 billion naira for three years.
The scheme which is to serve as a youth bank that will fund and support innovative ideas, skills, talents, and enterprise of the Nigerian youth; a loan and credit pathway dedicated to enabling access to credit and soft loans.
The President has by that clearly shown to the Nigerian youths that his campaign promises for the youths of the country were not mere promises but are well thought ideologies to empower youths and give them a sense of belonging in the country.
The President of the NYC, Blessing Akinlosotu stated that through the Honourable Minister for Youth and Sports, he understood that in the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting held yesterday the 2nd of September, 2020, the President has further shown genuine concern for youths as he moved a step further ahead to inaugurate a special day to celebrate all hardworking youths who have shown commitment to nation building and are positive of the growth of the nation.
Speaking further, he said, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved November 1st every year to celebrate youths who in no small means have shown that they are worthy of leadership in our nation, stating that this is a sign for greater things to come in the lives of youths in this great nation as it is believed amongst them that government now sees that there are genuine concerns to the well being of youths and have created a channel for youths to be celebrated and an opportunity for them to be engaged officially on national issues and concerns that have to do with them on this special day.
“We in the Nigerian Youth Congress, NYC, sincerely appreciate our amiable President for his genuine concern for youths and pray that God continually lifts his government higher and grant him grace to rise above the challenges confronting our nation today”.
“The honourable minister also can’t be thanked enough, he is a leader that leads with a clear vision of what he wants to achieve and aggressively goes after it and returns with an overwhelming result”.
