Sallah Celebration: Youth Body Congratulates Muslim faithful,
……….says Youths should embrace hardwork, and peaceful co-existence.
In the prevalence of the CoronaVirus (COVID 19) pandemic, Nigerian Youth Congress, has congratulated muslim faithful in the country and enjoined the Youths to embrace hardwork and peaceful co-existence as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival with deep appreciation to Allah but great caution and strict in line with the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) protocols to avoid escalating the prevalence of the deadly virus.
The President of Nigerian Youth Congress, Blessing Akinlosotu said it is important to have a low key celebration and stay safe than to have a wild celebration that will lead to unforeseen uncertainties.
Akinlosotu made the plea in his Eid-el-Kabir message to muslim faithful in a statement made available to pressmen.
The Youth leader enjoined youths to increase their efforts in charitable endeavours, perseverance and spiritual intercession for their sundry states and the nation at large.
He also urged them to further devote their prayers at the Eid praying grounds in calling on Allah to restore peace and strengthen the unity of the nation in all parts of the country, and rebuild the economy.
The president, while congratulating the muslim faithful, said it was a period that signified the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son to show submission to Allah’s command.
“As we have read from the Holy Quran, when Ibrahim was about to kill his son, Ishmael, Almighty Allah (SWT) put a sheep in its place.
“Muslims should use the Eid el-Kabir season to celebrate Prophet Ibrahim’s obedience to the will of Allah and as a reminder of the willingness to make sacrifices in obedience to Allah.”
