NYC To Organize E-Summit On Security And Cyber Crime Among Youths in Nigeria

 

The Nigerian Youth Congress in its bid to ensuring topical issues are brought to the fore of the leaders and citizens, have continued its initiative of engaging leaders, youths and experts across board on the issues prevalent in the Nigerian society today.

The President of the NYC, Blessing Akinlosotu and his team have continued to promote summits that will be of benefit to the country and her citizens.

The Nigerian Youth Congress have committed to ensuring that the country has a new face and youths are well positioned in bringing about solutions to the problems that bedevils the nation with the leaders and youths as committed stakeholders.

Considering the high rate of cyber crime and cyber insecurity among the youths within the security architecture of the country, the NYC with deep interest on ways to solving these security mishaps, has set up a panel of stakeholders to tackle these issues in a virtual summit with the theme: “POST COVID-19 & SECURITY – Evolving National Strategies To Curb Cyber Crimes And Other Criminal Activities Amongst Youths In Nigeria.”

The above topic will proffer solutions to the failing insecurity challenges within the country.

The leadership of the Nigerian Youth Congress has invited stakeholders in the area of security and cyber crime. Key among them are Governors, the Inspector General of Police, Security Experts, Members of the National Assembly and many others.

It has by invitation: the Governor of Zamfara State, Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle; Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma; Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Alhaji Abubakar Malami SAN; Senator Istifatus D. Gyang, Deputy Chairman, Senate Committee on Defense; Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye, Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Army; Hon. Ade Adeogun, Deputy Chairman, House Committee on National Intelligence and Security; IGP Muhammad Adamu, Inspector General of Police; CG Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu, Commandant General, National Security and Civil Defence Corp; Mr. Peter Afunanya, Spokesperson, Department of State Services; Mr. Andre Faulhaber, Security Expert; Saleh Sadiq Osude, Consultant Dubai Police; Arthur Alozie, Security Expert; Mr. Adamu Jauro Garba II, Cyber and IT Expert and other notable personalities.

It also has in the panel, leaders of the NYC with vast experience to lend their voice in the global pandemic of insecurity such as: Hon. Nasir Adhama, SSA to the President on Youths and Student Affairs; Alhassan Umar, Senior Advocate of Nigeria; Dr. Yakubu Shendam, Chairman Governing Board NYC; Hon. Solomon Dalung, Former Minister of Youths and Sports and Dr. Raymond Edoh, Secretary General of NYC.

The E-Summit promises to be thought provoking and engaging to all youths with the mindset of effecting proper security well being within the nation.
