Public Spirited Individual and Organizations in the State have been urged to support the less previllege in the society of palliative to cautioned the effect of the spread of Corona Virus pandemic.
The state Chairman of the Nigerian Youth Congress, Kogi State Chapter, Comrade Alfa Ebune gave the advice at the distribution of medicated antiseptic soap, Hands Sanitizers and other conmmusable items to Begger Colony and Commercial motorcycle Rider’s at the Old market lokoja.
Comrade Ebune said the distribution of the items become necessary in view of the hazard poised by the virus in some parts of the country.
The Chairman noted that the pandemic has no cure hence, necessary precautionary measure should be taking to prevent the spread of Covid 19 pandemic.
The philatrospist said commercial motorcycle Rider’s are more vulnerable especially as there convey customers from different locations to others.
Comrade Ebune promised that the Organization is partnering with the state government to fight against the scourge and praised the efforts of the Federal Medical Center Lokoja for provision of Sanitizers and facemasks to prevent the spread of Covid 19
He Commended the state governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello and President Muhammadu Buhari for taking bold steps of curbing the dreaded Covid 19 pandemic.
Also speaking, the Secretary of the Organization, Tessellani Maxmellian said the ideas behind donation is the civil responsibilities to reach out to needy as palliative measures to reduce the spread of Corona virus pandemic in the State.
Tessellani Maxmellian said efforts are gear towards distributing more palliative to more areas across the twenty one local government in the State.
In their separate remarks, Some of the beneficiaries who spoke, a petty trader Mariam Shuaibu, Commercial motorcycle Rider’s, Yahaya Abdullahi from Niger state and Islamic Scholar from Okene, Isah Hassan Commended the Nigerian Youth Congress for remembering the vulnerable people in society promised to use the soap for the purpose intended by the Organization.
