As the Leadership of Nigerian Youth Congress departs Abakaliki, Ebonyi State after Three Days Working Visit
The Leadership of the Nigerian Youth Congress departs Abakaliki, Ebonyi State to Abuja after a three days working visit and inspection of projects constructed by the Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Engr. David Umahi, today 20th September, 2020.
The delegations who were superlatively amazed by the massive projects that have been executed by the dogged and radical project executing-governor, remarked Umahi as a Cerebral Cortex for good leadership that by all means should be emulated by the Nigerian Youths, if the country is aimed at becoming a tourist centre in the nearest future.
The delegations which was led by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Youth and Students Affairs, Hon. Nasir Adhama who was ably represented by the Technical Adviser to the SSAP Dr. Aminu Isyaku, the President and the Chairman of the Governing Board (NYC), Blessing A. Akinlosotu and Dr. Yakubu Shendam respectively were also on the delegations.
Others are Dr. Raymond Edoh, Secretary General, NYC, Barr. Maxwell Ezelagu, Vice President Southeast, Hon. Yakubu Kwanta, Special Adviser to the Governor of Nasarawa State, Hon. Olamide Lawal, Special Assistant on Youths Affairs to the Ogun State Governor, Comrade Chikezie Oguejiofor, Chairman, Imo State NYC, Comrade Raymond Okoro, Chairman Ebonyi State, NYC and the entire State Executives.
Earlier, the Inauguration of the Ebonyi State was conducted at the Excos Chamber of the Governor’s Office, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
Dr. Kenneth Ugbala, Secretary to the Ebonyi State Government and Coordinating Commissioner who represented the Governor appreciated the Leadership of the Nigerian Youth Congress for the laudable initiatives of bringing this proactive Platform at the best time that the Youth of Nigeria need a great direction.
He charged the delegations to do more for the development of the youth of Ebonyi State and Nigeria at large. While also appreciating the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Youth and Students Affairs for his support funneled toward the Youth of Nigeria.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Youth and Students Affairs make seize the opportunity to announce that Ebonyi State anticipatively will be hosting the forthcoming Presidential Youth Empowerment Scheme for the Southeast Geopolitical Zone that will be launch very soon all over Nigeria.
Others on the delegations of the Ebonyi State Government are, Barr. Uchenna Orji, Commissioner for Information, Chief Nome Ogodoali Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon Mark Onu, SA to the Governor on Youth Mobilization and Employment, Hon Chidiebere Egwu, SA to the Governor on Youth Employment, Hon Chika Nwangele, SA to the Governor on Internal Security, Hon Gideon Onwe SA to the Governor on Students Affairs, Barr. Nwaka Onwe, SSA to the Governor on Sports and Youth Development, Hon. Ogbuefi Enekwachi, SSA to the Governor on Local Government and State Affairs.
Just before departure, the president, Nigerian Youth Congress, Blessing Akinlosotu, commended the Governor for his laudable infrastructural development that is unprecedented in the history of Ebonyi.
In his words, “the Ebonyi State we used to know is gone, here you have birth a new Ebonyi State. The massive infrastructural development we have witnessed here is a big challenge and we hope that the successor of Your Excellency can meet up for the good of Ebonyi State.
“We are requesting your Excellency for just one favour, to host the Nigerian Youth Congress’ National Executives Meeting (NYC, NEM), that we anticipate soon, with the aim to making the Leadership of Nigerian Youths to come and see for themselves the level of development your administration is doing here in Ebonyi”, he pleaded.
Answering questions from journalists during the project’s inspection the Chairman of the Governing Board of Nigerian Youth Congress Dr Mallam Yakubu Shendam said Governor David Umahi will be Crowned “Doyen” of Nigerian Youth by the entire Youth of this country. In our next visit I can assure you we will Crowned His Excellency because I am particularly shocked with what am seeing here today considering the epileptic manner of resources that come to this state from both the federal allocation and internal revenue the Governor could still do all this projects, I think you the Ebonyians should be thankful to God for having Governor David Umahi as your Leader.
