Today, the state leadership of Nigerian Youth Congress led by its Chairman, Arc. Uchechukwu Udenkwere .C. paid an important familiarization visit to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Umuahia Abia State.
In attendance as Hosts were the Hon. Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Emeka Ikwuagwu (Esv.), The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry and the Directors of all divisions in the Ministry.
The focus of this crucial meeting hinged on the integration of all youth activities in the state into Nigerian Youth Congress as it was mutually agreed that its gains and effect will be felt on a National Level.
The Chairman of Nigerian Youth Congress emphatically pointed out his mandate to build a credible youth voice for Abia Youths through changing the dynamics of saying that youths are the leaders of tomorrow rather show we are the leaders of today and the builders of tomorrow.
The Hon. Commissioner while addressing the delegation stressed how overjoyed the Ministry was at this partnership and reminded us of the numerous opportunities that have been made available to youth by His Excellency, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu through his ministry and implored us all to make sure that Nigerian Youth Congress, seeps right down into the grassroots of all 17 LGA’s in Abia State.
The Secretary of the state delegation of NYC, Mr. Mbadiwe Colonel in his vote of thanks affirmed that Nigerian Youth Congress is structured after the executive protocol with each LGA and Ward level of the state duly represented by coordinators.
He thanked the Hon. Commissioner for his audience and reiterated the wish to make Nigerian Youth Congress a household name in Abia and to achieve this, we need committed efforts by all stakeholders.
This is a Clarion Call to all youths of Abia State in all facets of life and locations to join hands with the state chapter of Nigerian Youth Congress as we move to intellectually engage ourselves via numerous activities and partnerships towards achieving our set goals and objectives.
