Yesterday was a special day for the Nigerian child. It was a day set aside to celebrate them and recognise the critical position they hold as future leaders of the country.
We at the Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC), Kebbi state Council will like to join the Nigerian child, not just to celebrate the day but to underline our admission that the child is an important cornerstone in the continuing survival, development and inviolability of the greatest black nation in the world.
The current governments at all levels in Nigeria and indeed the past administrations have done their best in protecting and highlighting the rights of the child to education, to life and to health among others. I wish to, on behalf of the Nigerian Youth Congress, Kebbi state congratulate all the children of Kebbi state on this very special day and to express our ardent hope that the child lives in dignity, good health and opportunities to become a youth and graduate into the leader of a future Nigeria that is secured, united, peaceful and which has attained its full potentials.
I also wish to recognise and commend the vital roles the Muhammad Buhari administration has played in giving special regards to the Nigerian child and the Nigerian Youth in the way it has evolved child-friendly and youth-friendly policies since it came to power. The future for the Nigerian child and the Nigerian Youth is duly assured.
Long live the Nigerian Child, long live the Nigerian Youth, long live Kebbi state, long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Signed
Comrade Shafiu Abubakar Zauro,
Chairman,
Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC),
Kebbi State Council.
