I will rewrite history of Ekiti Youths, say New NYC Chairman
The newly elected Chairman of Nigeria Youth Congress NYC, Ekiti state chapter, Hon. Tosin Adesuyi has promised to rewrite the history of Ekiti youths and restore the pride which Ekiti youths are known for.
Hon. Adesuyi made this pledge in Ado-Ekiti,the Ekiti state capital during his acceptance speech.
While speaking, the new youth leader called on all stakeholders within and outside Ekiti state to support his efforts to take the youths to an enviable height by addressing all the problems confronting the group.
According to him, the body will provide a common platform for all concerned individuals, groups or bodies to express thoughts and opinions that will help to sharpen and reshape the destinies of the youths.
He added that the body shall form a rallying point for well meaning Ekiti youths at home and diaspora to chart a new cause to teach the younger generation positive values.
“We shall form a rallying point for well meaning Ekiti youths home and abroad and chart a new cause or trend to address the mindset of the younger generation towards learning to thread a positive paths of values.
“We shall seek to create links for and amongst Ekiti youths to address unemployment, cultism and political thuggery ravaging our youths , using the available network, resources and initiatives,” he said.
The new youth leader promised to unite all the youths structure in the state to adopt a common agenda irrespective of their cultural or political affiliation, while also calling on every youths to bury their unpleasant past to behold a better and brighter future.
Hon. Adesuyi thanked the Governing Board Chairman Comrade Yakub Shendam and the national president ,Comrade Blessing Akinlosotu for bringing the Nigerian youths together under same roof and approving the executive list of Ekiti state chapter.
